Indian firm Allana Group launches Indian Poultry Alliance to transform sector

India-based Allana Group has announced the launch of the Indian Poultry Alliance at Poultry India 2024, aiming to enhance poultry production and consumption through integrated operations and advanced technologies.

The Indian Poultry Alliance will operate across the entire poultry value chain, including breeder farms, hatcheries, feed plants, broiler contract farming, value-added products, and rendering plants.

These operations will be strategically located in regions such as Kashmir, Punjab, Aligarh, Unnao, Kishanganj, Aurangabad, Belgaum, Zaheerabad, and Coimbatore. This strategic positioning will enable the Alliance to cater to diverse market segments, including quick-service restaurant chains, food services, government agencies, and e-commerce platforms.

The initiative is bolstered by partnerships with established industry leaders, including Premium Chick Feed, Kwality Animal Feeds Pvt Ltd, Kasturi Poultry, and Chatha Foods. These collaborations will ensure the supply of quality inputs, efficient processing, and innovative value-added poultry products. The Alliance also focuses on sustainability by maximising the use of by-products through rendering plants, which will support Asia's largest pet food facility located at the Group's Zaheerabad campus.

Moiz Chunawala, director of Strategic Business Development at Allana Group, highlighted the Group's commitment to providing high-quality protein sources. He stated that leveraging Allana's experience in the food business and world-class infrastructure, combined with investment in state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technologies, will enable the creation of a sustainable poultry market in India. The Group also aims to ensure wide consumer access to fresh, high-quality poultry products through its network of 4,000 retail stores.

The initiative will integrate advanced technologies such as automated feed systems and precision breeding to improve efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, sustainable practices like responsible waste management and ethical sourcing will be prioritised, setting new benchmarks for the poultry industry. Chunawala emphasised that the goal is to deliver high-quality, affordable poultry products while providing exceptional value to partners and consumers.

Dr Chitranjan Ramesh Behl, director of Poultry at Expert Poultry Value Chain, remarked that the Indian Poultry Alliance represents a pivotal milestone for India's poultry industry. He noted that the initiative will enhance production efficiency and product quality, benefiting both producers and consumers.
