Demand for lysine was limited as feed producers withheld purchases amid decreased usages. Lysine producers cut prices amid mounting inventory pressure.

Transacted prices of 98.5-percent lysine in China remained in the range of RMB9.64-10.70/kg while those of 70-percent lysine slid to the range of RMB5.87-6.55/kg.

Export prices of 70-percet lysine dropped to US$0.75/kg while those of 98.5-percent varieties dipped to US$1.32/kg.

Lysine sales will stay weak with soymeal prices substantially lower. Producers will be under pressure to negotiate prices amid strong competition.
