The seminar focused on balanced genetic improvement in the Arbor Acres Plus Fast Feathering bird and practical management strategies to maximise breeder flock performance.

Korea Grandparent Breeders (KGB) hosted a client seminar in Seoul on 28 May 2026, featuring presentations by Aviagen specialists on the latest developments in broiler breeding and flock management for the Arbor Acres Plus Fast Feathering bird supplied to the Korean market.

Greg Hitt, Head of Technical Operations for Aviagen Asia, presented the company's long-term breeding strategy, emphasising continued investment in balanced genetic selection to improve productivity, efficiency, robustness and bird welfare at both the breeder and broiler levels. "Our breeding program is designed to deliver sustainable genetic progress that benefits both breeder performance and broiler production. By combining this improvement with the latest concepts in bird management, we help our customers remain competitive while meeting the evolving needs of the poultry industry," Hitt said.

The Aviagen support team shared practical management recommendations for Arbor Acres Plus Fast Feathering breeders covering flock management, nutrition, lighting, bodyweight control and production practices to improve production persistency and fertility. "Good genetics achieve their greatest value when supported by consistent management. Attention to detail throughout the production cycle allows customers to fully realise the performance potential of their breeder flocks," Hitt added.

Kim Gangheung, President of Korea Grandparent Breeders, said the collaboration with Aviagen allowed KGB to provide Korean producers not only with high-quality breeding stock but also with up-to-date technical knowledge and ongoing support. The event was also attended by Yash Jaiswal, Commercial Manager for Aviagen Asia, and provided an opportunity for customers to exchange production experiences and engage directly with Aviagen specialists.
