Vietnam's Dong Nai opens bidding for VND30,500 billion integrated livestock and feed processing complex

The 1,500-hectare project targets full operation by Q2 2029, combining high-tech livestock farming with closed-chain feed and food processing.

Vietnam's Dong Nai City Department of Agriculture and Environment has opened investor bidding for a high-technology integrated agricultural complex in Thuan Loi commune, with a preliminary total investment of VND30,500 billion (US$1.17 billion) and a target completion date of the second quarter of 2029.

The project covers approximately 1,500 hectares and comprises four main components: a concentrated high-technology livestock zone of 410 hectares; an animal feed production and agricultural product processing area of 76 hectares, structured as a closed-chain operation; a fruit and medicinal plant cultivation zone of 600 hectares; and 80 hectares of supporting technical infrastructure.

The project's stated objectives include forming a large-scale integrated zone linking livestock production, cultivation and processing within a single value chain, with automation, digitalisation and traceability systems applied across all production stages. A circular economy model incorporating by-product reuse and renewable energy adoption is also built into the project framework.

The complex was formally launched on 3 February 2026. Investor bids are being received through Vietnam's National Bidding Network system.
