C.P. Vietnam and FPT sign AI cooperation agreement targeting 20% cost reduction across Feed-Farm-Food chain

Pilot smart farm deployments will test AI vision, IIoT integration and full food safety traceability across C.P. Vietnam's operations.
C.P. Vietnam Corporation and FPT Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop and deploy artificial intelligence and digital solutions across C.P. Vietnam's integrated Feed-Farm-Food value chain, with pilot programmes targeting a 20% reduction in operational costs and 100% food safety traceability.
The agreement, signed in Bangkok on 28 May 2026, covers cooperation from 2026 to 2028 and beyond. Under the MoU, C.P. Vietnam and FPT will establish smart farm pilots at selected C.P. Vietnam facilities, with the aim of subsequently rolling out AI solutions across a wider network of company-operated farms and contract farmers.
The scope of the cooperation includes AI vision systems, smart scales, smart manufacturing and supply chain management, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms with centralised data integration, agentic AI for operational intelligence, and food safety traceability systems.
Pawalit Ua-amornwanit, Chief Executive Officer of C.P. Vietnam, said the cooperation with FPT is aimed at advancing digital transformation across the company's integrated operations, from feed production and farming through to food processing and supply chain management.
C.P. Vietnam, a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), has operated in Vietnam since 1993. The company currently runs 12 animal feed mills, two pork slaughterhouses and six food processing plants, as well as one of Southeast Asia's largest integrated chicken processing complexes for export.
Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan, said the collaboration is intended to build a more connected and resilient agri-food supply chain for C.P. Vietnam, drawing on FPT's AI capabilities and experience with global manufacturers.
