As the pioneer of China's feed machinery industry, Zhengchang started building feed machinery as early as 1973, has since benchmarked the development of its products against advanced applications outside the country.

The business of Zhengchang Group covers all parts of China, as it provides more than 9,000 sets of feed pelleting equipment for 65% of the country's feed enterprises. Globally, its business operates in more than 80 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Oceania and South America, providing high-quality services to more than 1,200 overseas customers.

Last year, Zhengchang Group's annual order amount reached ¥4.6 billion (US$727 million), and sales revenue reached ¥3.3 billion (US$521 million).

Pushing forth with innovation

In 2020, the company invested a total of ¥200 million (US$32 million) on upgrading and building modern R&D and production bases. These facilities include the Zhengchang Group Research Institute, a pelletising R&D center and intelligent processing workshop, the Pet Aquatic Products Experimental Center and the South America Research Institute.

Additionally, the first research center for granulator and extruder developments in China was established by Zhengbang for its customers and scientific research institutions to jointly research and create professional equipment. The center is committed to spearheading the development of granulation, extruding system and other technologies in the country.

Zhengchang Group's drive to innovate did not escape notice from industry players. The company was regconised as one of China's top ten innovative enterprises in 2021. Its SPHS 155×2 aquatic product extruder was also awarded for being one of the country's top ten products for agriculture and animal husbandry in the same year.

Zhengchang seeks to elevate the Chinese feed processing industry to become a more efficient and energy-saving sector. Currently, it is working with domestic and foreign customers and professional research institutes to initiate this industry transformation. In 2020, it acquired Equipar, a feed machinery manufacturer in South America, and established the South American Research Institute.

In the future, Zhengchang's applications, together with the use of big data, will focus on delivering an end user-centric and value-oriented experience, enabling customers to access customised products and services that contribute to sustainable operations.
