Trouw Nutrition launches new product to support resilience, performance in high-performing broilers at ICPIH 2026 in Turkey

Trouw Nutrition, Nutreco's livestock feed business, will unveil new research on strategies to mitigate the impact of stressors that compromise performance and profitability in high-performing broilers.

The findings will be presented during the 9th International Conference on Poultry Intestinal Health (ICPIH) on April 22-24, in Istanbul, Turkey.

At this global gathering of poultry industry stakeholders from academia, science, and industry, Trouw Nutrition will launch Presan® Evolve, a feed additive containing a novel PhytoComplex designed to support resilience and performance in high-performing broilers.

Addressing a paradox in high-growth production environments

Modern broilers grow faster than ever before, but this remarkable growth pace often comes at a cost. It can trigger oxidative stress and chronic inflammation, creating a perpetual loop that undermines gut health, uniformity, and feed efficiency.

"Poultry producers face a paradox," said Morvarid Rezvani, Global Poultry Marketing Manager. As growth performance continues to advance, less visible stressors can compromise resilience. At Trouw Nutrition, we explore solutions that support sustainable growth by helping reduce non-chronic inflammation in modern production systems."

With high-performing flocks and producers' businesses in mind, Trouw Nutrition developed Presan® Evolve, a proprietary blend combining a PhytoComplex from four plants with targeted-release butyrates.

In addition to maintaining gut integrity, the ingredients in this advanced blend work together that may support muscle metabolism - a key physiological process linked to body weight and feed efficiency – while also may help to reduce non‑specific chronic inflammation.

New study results to be presented at ICPIH

At ICPIH 2026, Trouw Nutrition will present new research showing how Presan® Evolve, a blend of a PhytoComplex and targeted‑release butyrates, supported improved growth performance in high‑performing broilers. The findings underscore how this nutritional strategy can help modern flocks maintain performance under the demands of today's production systems.

Remarking on the study shared at ICPIH, Sandra van Kuijk, Senior Researcher at Trouw Nutrition stated, "Research shows that the inclusion of plant-based bioactives in poultry nutrition, used in a structured and science-based way, can effectively address hidden friction points and make a measurable difference in flock performance."

Trouw Nutrition researchers will share findings from additional studies during three oral presentations at ICPIH.
