Turkey's TAVSAN: Quality sets the path for success

TAVSAN is Turkey's biggest and oldest poultry equipment developer.
The company's products entails systems for feeding, drinking, lighting, heating, ventilation, feed storage and transport, automatic nest, layer and rearing cage and climate control. It has also begun to deliver turnkey poultry projects both in the Turkish and international markets, Remzi Çelik, chief marketing officer of TAVSAN, tells eFeedLink.
Revealing the company's latest development, Çelik says TAVSAN has shifted all its manufacturing to state-of-the-art facilities in the Sakarya Industrial Zone, occupying a bigger space of 30,000 square meters. "Our production capabilities continue to grow," he remarks.
Çelik shares more about TAVSAN.

Remzi Çelik, chief marketing officer of TAVSAN
What are TAVSAN's strengths that lend to its success in the domestic poultry industry?
Remzi Çelik: We always aim to provide the best quality service to our customers. Our sense of quality is based on having global standards both in our production and our services.
Our aim is not only to sell equipment but to guide our customers and enable them to make more profitable investments. We advise our customers on the location of the facility, optimum capacity and the most suitable equipment based on specific region and country. This close bond that we have developed plays the most effective role in the growth of TAVSAN.
In Turkey and abroad, our products are preferred for their quality and diversity. We manufacture our products based on ISO 9001-2015 quality standards. They are domestically created using technologically advanced methods and sold in every corner of Turkey through 11 distributors and two sales points.
All our storage and delivery services are controlled at our high-capacity storage facilities, which are equipped with fully digitalised systems.
The installation of systems, following our sales support and poultry house turnkey services, is provided by our technical services department.
In addition to our strong brand performance in sales and after-sales service, our highly qualified distributors in Turkey support our customers 24/7 in accordance with our policy of ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
Globally, TAVSAN, together with its 17 international distributors, is making sales in more than 50 countries. We are also the exclusive distributor for 12 international companies — like Lubing (Germany), Dosatron (France), Hotraco (the Netherlands), Collinson (England) and Biemmedue (Italy) — serving the Turkish market.
We always choose to collaborate with strong and successful brands. These collaborations boost our brand and increase our recognition.
As a global company, we uphold our goal of "Quality Product, Quality Service, Continuous Improvement" to meet our customers' expectations.
Since its founding, TAVSAN has continued to increase the variety of its products. We have also modernised our facilities due to growing business and customer needs. We are a young and dynamic company, having limitless energy to grow — like the nation of Turkey.

Hilmi Bilgin, CEO of TAVSAN
Please elaborate on what the TAVSAN does to fulfil its objectives of "Quality Product, Quality Service, Continuous Improvement".
Remzi Çelik: Backed by our R&D, we are continuously upgrading our products and production facilities and increasing the proficiency of our employees. With our consciousness of global responsibility, we seek to protect environments close to our facilities.
For us, quality is a system in which all rules [for proper and efficient production] are established for pre- and post-production processes. Given the importance of quality standards, we pay big attention to the raw materials used in production and select them based on the needs of the poultry sector.
What are the challenges and demands of both the Turkish and international poultry markets that TAVSAN addresses?
Remzi Çelik: As in every sector, fast response to demands, zero error and efficiency in production and operations are essential for the poultry sectors of both Turkey and other countries.
Turkey was struck by a severe earthquake in February this year. How has TAVSAN responded to this challenging event?
Remzi Çelik: We are deeply saddened by the impact of the earthquake in February — our condolences to all the people who are affected.
Since we work with and serve the food industry, we are aware that we need to act very quickly, especially in the face of natural disasters, and we are ready for this with all our factory equipment.
In fact, we have mobilised all our means to help citizens who were affected by the earthquake. We supported producers who owned poultry houses that were damaged. As the reconstruction of affected regions in Turkey continues, we will continue to be there.
What does the future hold for TAVSAN in terms of the evolution of its business and solutions?
Remzi Çelik: We aim to expand our reputation in Turkey as well as the international market.
We strive to reach our goal of putting the Turkish poultry sector at the top with TAVSAN. We will accomplish it by driving exports of our products, thus helping to improve the economic situation of Turkey and gaining international trust in our quality.
We will also increase our production capacity to expand the employment of our young, educated generation.
As the TAVSAN family, we have been succeeding till today — and we will continue to succeed in the future.
