China Soymeal: Prices stabilise on improved demand (week ended Apr 5, 2021)


Over the week, prices of CBOT May soy futures inched up 0.11%.


Low costs of soymeal attracted some buyers to stockpile inventories, albeit cautiously. Crushers, who limited production, held prices firm to sustain profit margins.


Weekly soymeal prices rebounded slightly.


Demand soymeal is expected improve as feed producers prepare for the recovery of aqua feed demand amid warmer the climates. However, with the hog feed sales slow, sharp price hikes are less likely in the near term.
