China Choline Chloride: Strong sales, high costs perk up prices (week ended Jan 11, 2021)


Producers of choline chloride lifted prices in order to cover rising ingredients costs. As the demand for hog feed strengthened, feed producers eagerly expanded stocks amid fears of supply shortages should China's coronavirus situation aggravate.


Export prices of 50% choline chloride surged to US$0.67/kg.


Sales of choline are poised to stay strong as overseas and local buyers build inventories enthusiastically. Producers will continue to stand firm with output costs high and production limited.
